F4Wonline.com is reporting that recent World Heavyweight Championship Contract winner Damien Sandow may face Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Apparently, a program between the two was discussed and planned out before Sunday’s Money In The Bank PPV. It is believed that the former “best friends” will face each other in August for Sandow’s recently obtained “Money in the Bank” briefcase.

This would not be the first time that a “Money in the Bank” briefcase was put on the line outside of a “Money in the Bank” Ladder Match. Edge would defend his first “MitB” briefcase against Matt Hardy in a ladder match in 2005. Rob Van Dam also defended his “MitB” contract against Shelton Benjamin the following year. In 2007, Mr. Kennedy (Ken Anderson) would win the “Money in the Bank” Ladder Match, but he would “lose” his briefcase to Edge, making himself the only person to ever win a “MitB” contract and not cash it in.

Many believe that Team Rhodes Scholars will indeed split, and the Sandow vs Rhodes program will begin Monday night on Raw.
