The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided backstage news on post-WrestleMania feuds for WWE Champions as they move forward following the event. The report claims to know what’s next for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, United States Championship, and Intercontinental Championship.
Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that WWE has planned all along to do Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the upcoming months following WrestleMania 31. Whether this means Reigns defeats Brock Lesnar at the event and stands tall as champion at the end of the night, or if Rollins cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase following Reigns’ victory to steal the title from him.
Regardless, Reigns vs. Rollins for the strap has been planned for some time. While Lesnar’s re-signing to WWE may change plans, as cards and finishes are always subject to change up until the final bell, Reigns vs. Rollins is likely the next program to feature the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
As previously reported, John Cena is slated to continue to work with Rusev in a program tethered to the United States Championship. Cena will likely take the strap off of Rusev at WrestleMania 31, only to then lose it back to the Bulgarian Brute either the following night on “Monday Night Raw,” or in April at “Extreme Rules.” The latter is probably the more likely option.
Daniel Bryan is the favorite to win the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania 31, as previously reported. However, Barrett could retain his title, or Dolph Ziggler could pull down the belt, and the outcome would still lead to the next IC title feud. WWE has reportedly discussed having a Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship at “Extreme Rules” between Bryan, Ziggler, and Barrett. Moving forward from this feud will be a program just between Bryan and Ziggler.

Interesting. It will be fun to see how WrestleMania plays out on Sunday.
