Leave it to the boss to stick it to the crowd.

Last night’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” emulated from Chicago, Illinois, which is the home of former WWE superstar CM Punk. In the opening segment of the show, Stephanie McMahon came out to address the crowd and naturally, the hometown fans cheered for their boy.

Anticipating this, McMahon had a response ready, and it was a burn that even the Chicago crowd wasn’t expecting:

When Stephanie mentions 2 minutes and 14 seconds, she is making a reference to Punk’s first match in UFC. In his debut, he was defeated by Mickey Gall in 2:14 of the opening round.

Editor’s Note:

This made me so very happy. I’ve said many times before that I used to be a fan of Punk, until he left the company right in the middle of a successful run at the top. He then openly and aggressively bashed the company that made him a superstar, and to me that’s just not cool, as it shows that he is an egotistical jerk. Also, to the WWE Universe: CM Punk is not coming back. Let it go.
