Take this for what you will, but it’s a rumor that can’t be ignored.

According to a tweet from Sliced Wrestling, The Undertaker was seen in an airport in Texas yesterday, preparing to board a flight to New York City. This also happens to be the site of both “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III” and “SummerSlam” this weekend:

It is unknown at this time if he is going to be participating in any capacity this weekend, or is going to be in New York for other reasons.

The Undertaker was last seen on WWE programming at WrestleMania 33. He was defeated in the main event of the show by Roman Reigns, and then proceeded to leave his gear in the ring. This has been interpreted as a sign that this was the final match of his illustrious career.

The Undertaker makes perhaps his final WrestleMania entrance: WrestleMania 33 (WWE Network)

We will continue to monitor this story and provide any updates as they become available to us.

Editor’s Note:

I’ll believe it when I see it. While I love The Undertaker and I want him to compete one more time at WrestleMania 34, there’s no reason for him to appear at “SummerSlam” this year.
