One of the most talked about topics in recent memory is the announcement of the “Mae Young Classic” Women’s Tournament that will be featured on the WWE Network this summer.

According to a report from PWInsider Elite, the tournament will feature names from both NXT, as well as several independent wrestlers who will be brought in to fill out the brackets.

It is rumored that NXT superstars Bianca Blair, Lacey Evans, Taynara Melo, Sarah Logan, Kimber Lee, Julia Ho, Victoria Gonzalez, Mary-Kate, Danielle Kamela, and Zhao Xia will all participate in the tournament.

In addition, Nixon Newell, Evie, Demi Bennett, Kairi Hojo, and Thea Trinidad, who have already been signed, as well as rumored names Marti Belle and Mia Yim will be brought in.

It has been previously reported that United Kingdom superstar Viper will be joining the tournament, while Io Shirai will not be participating, due to a scheduling conflict with Stardom Wrestling.

Editor’s Note:

While I don’t know many of these independent names, I have no doubt that this will be an amazing event. This is something that I have been looking forward to for a long time, and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out!
