At last night’s Extreme Rules show, Jeff and Matt Hardy lost their first match as a team since returning to WWE back in April, which means that they are no longer the Raw Tag Team Champions.

Of course, the team will likely continue their feud with the new champs, Sheamus and Cesaro, on tonight’s Raw. But, it might be a while before the Hardys recapture the red brand’s tag team belts.

According to Cageside Seats, WWE is considering the idea of breaking up the Hardys. Also according to the site, if the team breaks up, it’ll be Matt who turns on Jeff, and the breakup will be the cause of Matt being sick of his brother’s high risk offense.

Most fans will probably be disappointed or even angry if WWE breaks up the Hardys, but those same fans will be fine with it if it leads to the “broken” gimmick being introduced on television.
