You can’t keep a good cobra down. Santino Marella was one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE for several years until a string of neck injuries ended his career. Since then, Marella has been training wrestlers in his native Canada, but it seems that he might have one match left in him.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, an interpromotional six man tag was held at Marella’s Battle Arts Academy over the weekend between Battle Arts Professional Wrestling and Destiny World Wrestling. Due to a pre-match stipulation, this means that Marella must wrestle on a Destiny World Wrestling card. No date has officially been announced at this point.

Opinion: I can’t imagine this being anything more than a one off performance, assuming it happens. You don’t want to mess with a severe neck injury and that’s what Marella is dealing with here. If it’s just a quick comedy match or something where he can be heavily protected but I’d hope it’s nothing more than that.

Would you like to see Marella back in the ring? Can you imagine him back in WWE in any capacity? Let us know in the comments below.
