Is it really taking over if you do it three times? NXT is an interesting case as it has a single hour of TV a week but still manages to have touring and their own version of pay per views. The Takeover series has turned into a special event with some of the best matches of the year for any given promotion. We just came off “Takeover: Chicago” and now we have its follow-up.

Today on Twitter, Triple H announced that “Takeover: Brooklyn III” will take place on August 19 in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. This is the third year in a row that the show will take place the night before Summerslam. There is no word on if there will be another Takeover before “Takeover: Brooklyn III”.

Opinion: This is probably NXT’s biggest show of the year and it’s cool to see that it’s becoming something annual. Brooklyn is a major market and it feels like a more important deal to have NXT featuring a show there. It’s always going to fill up a big arena and that makes NXT look like an even bigger deal than it already is.
