Out with the old, in with the new. It’s always an exciting time when superstars from NXT perform either on Raw or Smackdown. It provides us with new, intriguing matchups, and allows up and coming competitors to show up to a more broad audience. One submission specialist had the opportunity tonight.

On this week’s episode of Raw, Deonna Purrazzo made her Raw debut, taking on Asuka in a match. Despite a valiant effort, Purrazzo eventually tapped out to the Asuka Lock at the 4:13 mark.

You can see a clip of the match below:

It is unknown at this time if this is a permanent move, or was just a one-off appearance.

Editor’s Note:

I always love when NXT superstars get to perform on either Raw or Smackdown. The landscape is a little bit different now, as NXT is considered a 3rd brand for the WWE banner, but it still has that up and coming feeling to it. Also, Purrazzo did a great job and I expect more great things from her in the future!
