The most famous fighter in the world continues to add to his legacy.

Last night at UFC 205, Conor McGregor made history by becoming the first fighter in history to hold multiple UFC titles at the same time. Already the featherweight champion, McGregor knocked out Eddie Alvarez at 3:04 of the second round, to become the lightweight champion as well.

It is unknown at this time if UFC President Dana White will allow McGregor to defend both titles, or be forced to relinquish one of them.

McGregor created a lot of controversy amongst the wrestling community earlier this summer. He made several verbal attacks on several WWE superstars, most notably, John Cena. While he did praise certain people in the business, such as Ric Flair, Triple H and the entire McMahon family, his comments were generally meant to degrade the superstars of professional wrestling.

Editor’s Note:

In my opinion, if McGregor had the opportunity to face competitors in different divisions and defeated them all, he should be able to defend all of the titles that he won during that time. I don’t see any reason not to; multiple UFC fighters are going to want to prove that they can knock down the man at the top.
