Earlier this week, it was reported that Shawn Michaels would be taking on a huge role at the WWE Performance Center as the head trainer. The rumor was that HBK would be taking over for Matt Bloom despite the latter finding a ton of success in the role.

There is no question that Shawn Michaels is one of the most popular wrestlers in the history of the business and there would be a line around the WWE Performance Center to be trained by him, but it’s unconfirmed if he’ll be involved there for now.

According to a report from RingSideNews.com, Kevin Nash let it slip recently that HBK would be moving his entire family to Orlando to take on the huge role, but The Game set the record straight during a conference call for the upcoming NXT Takeover event.

HHH did confirm that Shawn would be helping around the WWE Performance Center, but Matt Bloom is still very much the head coach of WWE’s developmental system.

It makes sense that the rumor would happen if Shawn Michaels is helping around the facility. Frankly, he’s Shawn Michaels, so it’s not out of the question to think he’d walk in and be handed the keys to castle. For now, it seems he’s just happy being in the castle.

Do you think Shawn Michaels would be well as a manager on WWE television?
