Many people have wondered if this meant a full-time return for “Y2J,” or if it was a one-time appearance.
You can see his return below:
According to the latest episode of his podcast, “Talk Is Jericho,” he revealed that the reason that he appeared on the show was that he happened to be in Richmond, Virginia, to film some new episodes of “Southpaw Regional Wrestling.” He was also there to record an interview with Tyler Breeze and Fandango for another episode of his podcast, and got talked into doing the match.
Prior to his latest appearance, Jericho was last seen on WWE programming on the May 2 episode of “Smackdown Live.” On the show, he lost the United States championship to Owens, who proceeded to attack him after the match, in order to write him off of TV.
Editor’s Note:
Even if it’s only a one-off appearance, I’m always glad to see “Y2J” on television. He is certainly one of the greatest performers of all time, and is the source of inspiration for the “List of Dericho” on “Universal Chatter!”
