It had been previously reported that Jim Ross’ wife, Jan, died in an automobile accident in March of 2017.

According to a new report from TMZ earlier this week, it was revealed that she died from a traumatic brain injury that occurred when she was struck from behind by a car. She was riding her Vespa scooter home at the time.

The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says that a toxicology report is still pending, even though the cause of death has been determined. Jan’s passing has also been ruled as an accident.

Jan suffered multiple skull fractures on March 20, 2017 after a 17-year-old male driving a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis struck her Vespa from behind. She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Editor’s Note:

This is why it is always important to wear your helmet when you are riding any type of cycle. Regardless, we at Wrestling Rumors, continue to offer our deepest sympathies to J.R. and his family, as they continue to adjust to a ‘new normal’ in their lives.
