Settling down is a good idea. One of the most recent ex-WWE names to forge his own path outside of the company is Cody Rhodes, who has hit the ground running after leaving WWE last year. Rhodes has wrestled in New Japan, Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling and a host of indies. Now though, it seems that he’ll be putting down some roots.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, Rhodes has signed with Ring of Honor under a deal similar to the Young Bucks. Basically Rhodes is allowed to take outside bookings which he will control, though he’s not allowed to work for another promotion on television, meaning he’s basically gone from “Impact Wrestling” (there is no word on Brandi Rhodes’ status). This isn’t a surprise as Rhodes told Sports Illustrated that his days of traveling around the world were coming to an end soon.

Opinion: While Rhodes might not be the biggest star in the world, he’s certainly someone who has kept himself out there since leaving WWE, which is something that’s only going to help him in the long run. While Ring of Honor might not be the place it once was, it’s certainly a better option than some companies, such as Impact Wrestling.
