Anyone who says that “The Beast” is not a commodity, should read ahead.

According to Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports, Brock Lesnar made a purse of $2.5 Million for his appearance at UFC 200 last night:

In addition to this, he will receive a share of each of the pay-per-view buys for the event.

This is, by far, the highest purse in UFC history. The next closest pay day belongs Connor McGregor, who took in a purse of $1 million for his fight at UFC 196 against Nate Diaz. Bleacher Report also published a chart which shows how much each fighter was paid for their appearance at UFC 200:

Fighter Purse
Brock Lesnar $2,500,000
Mark Hunt $700,000
Anderson Silva $600,000
Miesha Tate $500,000
Daniel Cormier $500,000
Jose Aldo $400,000
Cain Velasquez $300,000
Frankie Edgar $190,000
Travis Browne $120,000
Amanda Nunes $100,000

Lesnar’s next athletic appearance will take place at “SummerSlam” on Sunday, August 21. WWE announced earlier this week that “The Beast” will be taking on Randy Orton at “The Biggest Party of the Summer.”

Editor’s Note:

Wow. No matter your thoughts on Brock Lesnar, or his value in either WWE or UFC, you cannot deny the fact that the people in charge believe that he is a draw. So much so that they are willing to pay an exorbitant amount of money for his services. Props to Lesnar for having that kind of star power. I hope to have that someday.
