It had been previously reported that although she suffered a recent injury at a Live Event, she was not expected to miss any time. That information appeared to be incorrect, however, as it is being reported that she will not be medically cleared to compete following this incident.
As a result, she will be “done” as an in-ring performer.
Paige made her return to WWE back in November of last year, alongside the debuting Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. The trio called themselves “Absolution,” and you can see a clip of their genesis below:
WWE has yet to post anything official about Paige at this time, and we will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available to us.
Editor’s Opinion:
I have to admit that I am sad by this. While I was not initially excited for Paige’s return to WWE, she has been one of the most entertaining and exciting performers on the “Raw” roster in the past few months. Also, to see someone’s dream be cut so short in her career is very sad. I hope that she can remain with the company in some capacity, either as a General Manager, or perhaps a trainer in NXT.
