The potential for history to be made yet again is getting more and more real. According to a report from the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a Women’s Triple Threat match is scheduled to headline WrestleMania 35.
This match would feature Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch.
Rousey and Lynch were supposed to face each other at Survivor Series 2018, before an injury kept The Man out of the match and she was replaced by Flair. You can see a promo about it below:
According to the report, the reason for this being a Triple Threat is that it will give both Flair and Lynch the distinction as being part of the first women’s main event in WrestleMania history, which should elevate them both and eventually make them legends of the industry.
It is also the reason why the original plan of Rousey vs. Flair for the Royal Rumble was scrapped, and they went with Rousey vs. Sasha Banks instead.
Editor’s Opinion:
These three competitors in the ring at the same time in the main event of WrestleMania would create a buzz unlike anything that has been seen in wrestling for a long time. I’m all for it and would not wait to be able to see it.
