A ninja in professional wrestling? Why not?

Kacy Catanzaro, who came to prominence as a contestant on NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior,” has begun her training at the WWE performance center. She is among the newest set of recruits, alongside Texas Legends center Satnam Singh and New Orleans Saints linebacker Kasim Edebali.

Catanzaro made quite a name for herself, due to her high athletic achievement on the show. She is the only woman to complete a City Finals course, and as a result, was named on Sports Illustrated’s “Fittest 50” list of the world’s top female athletes on two separate occasions.

WWE has been busy recently in signing and training the next generation of superstars. In recent weeks, they have brought several Chinese superstars to the Performance Center, as well as four female competitors from the independent scene.

Editor’s Note:

This is awesome. Although I did not see Catanzaro perform on “American Ninja Warrior,” the backstory of how she arrived to the company could be used in so many storylines. In addition, the video of her working out looks like she is adapting to professional wrestling quite nicely.
