WWE COO Triple H recently unveiled on Twitter that four new matches will be added to the “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn” card for the Aug. 22 show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York:

  • The Mojo Bros. (Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley) & Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. The Mechanics & Jason Jordan & Chad Gable
  • Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch vs. Emma vs. Dana Brooke
  • Eva Marie vs. Carmella
  • Bull Dempsey vs. Elias Samson

It was also revealed that Apollo Crews (formally Uhaa Nation on the independent scene) would be going one-on-one with Tye Dillinger.

Here’s a look at matches already confirmed for the card:

  • Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin
  • NXT Tag Team Championship: Blake & Murphy (c) vs. The Vaudevillians (Aiden English & Simon Gotch)
  • Jushin “Thunder” Liger vs. Tyler Breeze
  • NXT Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bayley
  • NXT Championship Ladder match: Finn Balor (c) vs. Kevin Owens

The show will also begin at 7:30 pm instead of 8 pm to accommodate the new card.

Editor’s Note

10 matches on a two-and-a-half hour show? That seems a tad excessive, right? None of the matches will get the time they deserve. Surely they need an extra hour at this point, but hey……whatever. More wrestling is more wrestling. Brooklyn will be in for a treat on Saturday regardless. Looking forward to it.
