History was made at WWE “SummerSlam” on Sunday night when Seth Rollins defeated John Cena to become the unified WWE United States and World Heavyweight Champion, albeit with an assist by host Jon Stewart.

Cena and Rollins battled back and forth for the entire match. After several near pinfalls, Cena then locked Rollins into the Figure Four, only to have it reversed by Rollins.

Rollins would then go on to hit Cena with his own “Attitude Adjustment,” forcing another two count. The turning point in the match came when Rollins missed as he attempted to hit Cena from the top rope. Cena then attempted to hit the AA on Rollins, but Rollins’ feet knocked the referee out of the ring. Cena then hit the AA, gaining a three count, but with no referee to count Rollins shoulders.

Then, “SummerSlam” host Jon Stewart came down to the ring with a steel chair, pretending like he has going to hit Rollins with it. Surprisingly, Stewart hit Cena with the chair, setting up Rollins to Pedigree Cena onto the chair:

The previously knocked out referee returned to the ring to count the victory for Rollins, causing the WWE Universe in Brooklyn to errupt:

WWE and Triple H posted the following on their official Twitter accounts, celebrating Rollins’ victory:

Stewart was then seen retreating backstage after his actions, making no comments to spectators:
