With Brock Lesnar as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion after his victory over John Cena at “SummerSlam,” WWE COO Triple H and Chairman Vince McMahon are reportedly at odds over what his long-term plans should be, according to F4WOnline.com.

Rumor has it that McMahon wants Lesnar to defend the title against The Rock in the main event of WrestleMania 31, while Triple H believes Roman Reigns should be in that spot.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that while McMahon sometimes undercuts his son-in-law, there is absolutely no bad blood from either side.

In fact, the dynamic between the two is often perceived as being a “good cop vs. bad cop,” with Vince being the latter of the two.

Reigns defeated Randy Orton at “SummerSlam” and is rumored to be facing Triple H one-on-one at “Night of Champions” in September.

Editor’s Note

Rock is clearly the bigger name, despite being a part-time act. There’s more box office in Rock vs. Lesnar II, although a victory for Reigns would give WWE another bonafide main event star. There’s positives and negatives for both options.
