4. The Undertaker vs. Kane (Bragging Rights, 10/24/10)

At “WWE Hell in a Cell” in October of 2010, Hall of Famer Paul Bearer turned on the Undertaker, costing him his match with Kane inside the demonic structure for the World Heavyweight Championship.

As a way of doing away with “The Deadman” once and for all, Bearer issued the challenge of a ‘Buried Alive’ match at “WWE Bragging Rights” against Kane for the gold.

With Kane all but unconscious after being locked in the Hells Gate submission hold, Undertaker turned his attention to Bearer, rubbing dirt in his face and choking him on top of the mound.

As he set up Bearer for a chokeslam into the grave with Kane already down below, the Nexus (Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Heath Slater and Wade Barrett) appeared, beating down Undertaker and tossing him into a now vacant burial site.

In one final act, Kane raised his arms into the air as the lights in the arena went eerily red. As he brought his arms back down, the nearby bulldozer dropped dirt onto his fallen opponent as Kane retained his World Heavyweight Championship.

With the camera zoomed in on the tombstone, Undertaker’s entrance music played as his infamous cross symbol appeared over the engravings.

Result: Kane def. The Undertaker (16:59)

3. The Undertaker & Big Show vs. The Rock & Mankind (SmackDown, 09/09/99)

In the only ‘Buried Alive’ match to not appear on pay-per-view, The Rock & Sock Connection (The Rock and Mankind) put their World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship on the line against the Undertaker and Big Show on an episode of “SmackDown.”

In one of the most memorable moments of any ‘Buried Alive’ match, Big Show grabbed Mankind and tossed him from the stage almost 15 feet into the grave.

With Rock and Undertaker brawling to the back, WWF Champion Triple H came out and nailed Big Show with a sledgehammer shot.

As Mankind laid motionless in the grave, Triple H grabbed a shovel and started pouring dirt over the “Hardcore Legend.” Since the match was No Disqualification, it didn’t necessarily matter how he was buried. Referee Earl Hebner called for the bell, awarding the Tag Team Championship to Big Show and Undertaker.

An ambulance rolled through to give assistance to the fallen superstars, but as Triple H opened the back doors, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin leaped out of the vehicle with fists of fury. He tossed the champion in the back and drove the ambulance out to the parking lot.

Austin climbed into a waiting semi-trailer truck and plowed it through Triple H and the ambulance in the ultimate act of revenge.

Result: The Undertaker & Big Show def. The Rock & Mankind to become the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions
