A new report from PWInsider.com claims that the next installment of WWE video games, “WWE 2K15,” may not be released until WrestleMania 31 season. WWE has typically released its video games during the Fall quarter, but are looking at holding off on the release of “WWE 2K15” until the Spring of 2015.

According to the report, WWE believes that the video game may garner better sales if released during WrestleMania season. The company believes that the “corporate synergy” that exists during this time can drive more interest towards the product.

The company’s latest video game endeavor, “WWE 2K14,” was the first to be produced by 2K Games’ Sports division, who acquired the WWE license after longtime WWE game developer THQ filed for bankruptcy in 2012. 2K is currently working on “WWE 2K15,” although no details regarding the game have been released at this time.

Editor’s Note:
I love WWE video games. If we have to wait until next Spring to pick up the next one, can 2K at LEAST try and get the hair, facial hair, attires, entrance themes, and move sets to better resemble the current superstars? #GameNerd
