With WWE “SummerSlam” just around the corner on Aug. 17, now is as good a time as any to start building towards the main event of the show.
“Monday Night Raw” will emanate from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on July 21, and PWInsider.com is confirming that Brock Lesnar, one-half of the projected “SummerSlam” main event, will be appearing on the show.
Paul Heyman tweeted out during WWE “Battleground” on Sunday night that he was on a plane “heading to pick up Plan C:”
In case you’re wondering … Heading to pick up #PlanC … Just in case. @WWE#RAWpic.twitter.com/Sgpkz47ewv

Plan C is referring to The Authority’s numerous attempts to remove the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from John Cena, who retained the gold at “Battleground” by defeating Roman Reigns, Kane and Randy Orton in a Fatal 4-Way match.
Cena will not be appearing on “Raw” tonight as he’ll be off filming a new Judd Apatow flick entitled “Trainwreck.” He’s also expected to miss the Aug. 4 broadcast as well.
An advertisement for a match between Cena and Lesnar at the Staples Center was leaked one week ago, all but confirming that these two titans will be squaring off at the event.
Editor’s Note
With Cena not appearing on the show, WWE needs something big to happen on “Raw” to start creating buzz for “SummerSlam.” Lesnar should do the trick.
