Rob Van Dam missed WWE “Battleground” due to injury. Multiple reports claim that Van Dam, who was expected to participate in the Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal at the event, has suffered some sort of injury that kept him from competing in the match on July 20.

Our friends over at Wrestlezone.com first broke the story saying that a source within WWE claimed Van Dam is indeed injured, but there is no word on how serious, or even what the injury may be. Van Dam was replaced in the match by Damien Sandow.

Sandow, along with Adam Rose, had originally been removed from the “Battleground” Battle Royal shortly following the July 14 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” When Van Dam did not show up for the Battle Royal, Sandow made his way to the ring instead, dressed up like a “beach bum,” since the event was broadcast out of Tampa, Fla.

WrestlingRumors.net will keep you updated as more information on Van Dam’s injury becomes available.

Editor’s Note:
I know the rumors of possible marijuana use hit the web instantly when Van Dam didn’t appear, but it seems as if he has suffered some sort of injury. I hope the F’n Show gets better REALLY fast! He’s always been one of my favorite guys in the ring.
