While the WWE has cornered the professional wrestling market in the United States, there is a great big world out there. Naturally, the WWE wants to try and gain traction in other countries and regions, because why not go for global domination.

The company has their tournament for a UK Champion planned for the future, but they have also begun making inroads into China. Now, those plans have taken the next step, because three Chinese recruits have begun training at the WWE Performance Center.

China is, of course, the most populous country in the world, with a growing economy and therefore more access to popular culture for many of its residents. A little while back, the WWE announced they would begin airing in China, and they signed Tian Bing to be the first Chinese wrestler with the company. They then had a four-day tryout in June, which is where these three talents came from.

Zhao Xia, Yifeng, and Big Boa have all headed down to Orlando, Florida to continue their journey at the Performance Center. Granted, there is still a ways to go to get from Performance Center to NXT, let alone the WWE, but the first step has been taken. “Our talent development team is dedicated to helping the world’s most gifted athletes and entertainers fulfill their dreams of becoming a WWE Superstar,” said Triple H.
