Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio had many things to say regarding CM Punk’s departure from WWE, in the show’s most recent episode on Saturday, Feb. 1. During the show, Meltzer noted that many people within WWE are “not unhappy” regarding Punk’s departure. Additionally, Meltzer stated that there was a great deal of negativity towards Punk coming from a lot of people in WWE.

As we previously reported, Vince McMahon is in charge of the situation involving Punk and may want him to return to WWE. Meltzer reiterated his previous words, stating that McMahon wants Punk back because WWE is lacking high-caliber stars.

Meltzer also noted that there was not one specific reason that Punk walked out on WWE. As we noted yesterday, Punk was reportedly upset over his compensation and status in WWE, among other things. Regarding rumors that Punk quit because Daniel Bryan was to replace him in Punk’s WrestleMania match with Triple H, Meltzer shot them down, stating that the plans for the match were changed after Punk walked out, not beforehand.

WrestlingRumors.net will keep you up-to-date on the situation between CM Punk and WWE as it continues to develop.
