On Saturday, Feb. 1 WWE had two separate live events going on around the United States of America. A live event featuring John Cena and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton occurred in Orlando, Fla. On the other hand, in Wichita, Kan., a live event which previously advertised CM Punk went on without Punk appearing.

Because Punk was advertised for the event, fans were offered a refund for the event, according to PWInsider. However, this did not stop the WWE Universe from chanting for the “Best in the World.” Additionally, at the same live event, The Shield cut a promo on Punk, stating that the fans should be happy that he went home. CM Punk was replaced by Sheamus for the event.

During WWE’s other live event in Orlando, Randy Orton may have also cut a promo on Punk. According to PWInsider, before his match with John Cena, Orton cut a promo, including the line, “If at first you don’t succeed, quit.” While there is no way to tell for sure if Orton took a shot at Punk, that didn’t stop the fans in attendance from speculating about the line.

WrestlingRumors.net will keep you up-to-date on the situation between CM Punk and WWE as it continues to develop.
