WWE Hall of Famer Amy “Lita” Dumas recently caught up with Mark Suleymanov of Inquisitr for an interview. The interview came following her appearance at the Legends of Wrestling event at Citi Field, the home of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets. The event saw former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg back in a wrestling ring. Although he did not compete, he would deliver a spear and “Jackhammer.”
Lita discussed the uniqueness of the Legends of Wrestling event:
“It’s great and it’s fun to mix the historic pastime of baseball and mixing that with wrestling fans and being here at the stadium. It’s just a really fun event, there’s a lot of energy in it and it’s something different that the fans haven’t gotten to experience before.”
The four-time WWE Women’s Champion briefly spoke about the success of NXT women’s division:
“Since I left, I felt we got a bit of a downslope but the NXT girls, you know, really got what it takes to see it go in the direction that is should, so I’m definitely excited to see that.”
In closing, Lita did not rule out a return to the ring for WWE. Though, for now, she is focused on her role in the company’s revival of “Tough Enough:”
“I mean, I’m gearing up for Tough Enough training right now, so, I wouldn’t rule anything out and I’ll say anything is possible.”
