As Variety broke in an exclusive, WWE star Dean Ambrose will appear in WWE Studios’ upcoming “Lockdown” film. The project is one of the six projects that WWE Studios and Lionsgate will co-produce. The film will serve as a follow-up to “Vendetta,” which stars Big Show. Production for the film will begin towards the late stages of August.
F4WOnline has published a report on Ambrose’s role in the project, looking at what effect it will have in regards to his time in the ring. The website reported that Ambrose will indeed miss some time, including some dates of WWE programming because of “Lockdown.”
With production set to begin in late August, Ambrose will likely miss certain dates leading to the “Night of Champions” pay-per-view. F4WOnline noted that just like any other WWE star off to film a WWE Studios film, Ambrose will get some time off, as his feud with Seth Rollins still progresses.
At the “SummerSlam” pay-per-view on Aug. 17, Dean Ambrose will go one-on-one with Seth Rollins in a Lumberjack match. Rollins technically defeated Ambrose at “Battleground” due to “forfeiture.” However, thhis time around, the two will get to wrestle in the ring.
Editor’s Note
Hopefully Ambrose’s time off doesn’t hurt this feud too much.
