Backstage Update on Tons of Funk

Over the past couple of weeks of WWE programming, Tons of Funk have begun a mini-feud with R-Truth and WWE rookie Xavier Woods. During the feud, the team of Brodus Clay and Sweet T have come across more and more as a heel tag-team.

According to F4WOnline, WWE had been discussing the possibility of turning Tons of Funk heel along with Cameron and Naomi, The Funkadactlys. However, due to Total Divas being picked up for a second season, the production company of the reality show pressured WWE to keep the Funkadactyls as babyfaces. The company would prefer the duo to be likable on television.

On the other side, Brodus Clay and Sweet Tea are a different story. The current plan, according to F4WOnline, is for the duo to turn heel in the near future and possibly become a top heel tag-team in the company.
