The Undertaker & John Cena vs. Kurt Angle & Chris Jericho: SmackDown, July 11, 2002

John Cena and The Undertaker haven’t had a ton of high profile interactions with one another, but they did team up back in July of 2002, as the two WWE legends faced the team of Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho.

Undertaker and John Cena were supposed to wrestle each other at both WrestleMania 32 and 33. However, Cena got hurt prior to Mania 32, so the match was cancelled. As for their match at Mania 33, well, Undertaker’s opponent was changed to Roman Reigns, and Cena’s was changed to The Miz and Maryse.

It appears that The Undertaker is retired, and if this is the case, then we’ll never see the long-rumored match between The Phenom and John Cena.

Cena’s rumored opponent for next year’s WrestleMania is Roman Reigns, which could end up being the most interesting match at next year’s show.
