As of right now, the plan for Triple H at WrestleMania is still for him to wrestle Seth Rollins. But, that could change at any moment, as Rollins is trying to recover from a knee injury.

While WWE is going with the idea that Rollins will be physically able to compete at WrestleMania, they do have a backup plan in mind if something goes wrong, and that backup plan is Samoa Joe.

During Joe’s interview segment with Michael Cole, Joe said “I don’t need his help” when he was asked about his relationship with Triple H, and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that’s because WWE is interested in doing Joe vs. Triple H if the Rollins match falls through.

Prior to the Royal Rumble, it looked like Joe was going to debut on the SmackDown roster, and take on John Cena at WrestleMania. But, for whatever reason, things changed, and Joe ended up on Raw.

We still don’t know who Joe’s WrestleMania opponent will be if Seth Rollins is able to compete on April 2. As of right now, all of the other top guys on Raw have WrestleMania opponents. So there’s no clear direction for Joe at the moment.
