Update On WWE’s Plans For Dean Ambrose At WrestleMania 33

It now seems like WWE has a plan for Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 33. Originally, it looked like the plan was for Ambrose to team up with Renee Young to take on The Miz and Maryse. But, now John Cena and Nikki Bella will face Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag match.

At last night’s Elimination Chamber show, Ambrose was destroyed by Baron Corbin, which led to The Miz pinning the Intercontinental Champion. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Corbin destroying Ambrose is going to lead to an IC Title match between the two at WrestleMania 33.

Also, expect to see a three-way title match between Corbin, Ambrose, and The Miz at some point between now and WrestleMania.

WWE does want Baron Corbin in the World Championship picture by the end of this year, so he’ll probably end up beating Ambrose for the IC Title on April 2, which probably won’t go over well with the majority of their audience.
