Shortly before we found out that ex-United States Champion Rusev was going to miss WrestleMania due to an injury, we saw him debut a new look, and apparently the WWE brass wasn’t thrilled with the Bulgarian Brute’s decision to change his appearance without their approval.

According to Cageside Seats, there might be a bit of heat on Rusev because he cut his hair without running it by upper-management. Of course, we haven’t seem the ramifications of the rumored heat, as he went under the knife not too long after he debuted his new look on television.

When Rusev returns to action, which will likely be in the summer, he’ll be on a different brand, as he was drafted to SmackDown during the “superstar shake-up.” WWE’s blue brand is looked at as being the “land of opportunity,” so it’ll be interesting to see if Rusev actually gets an opportunity when he returns from injury, or if he gets buried right off the bat for changing his look without the company’s permission.
