Last week, AJ Styles made his Monday Night Raw debut against Chris Jericho. The finish of the match saw Jericho get caught in a roll up for the three count. Y2J has taken to social media and requested another shot at The Phenomenal One on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

Also on this week’s Raw, AJ Styles was featued in the MizTV segement that saw him sit ideally by as Miz ranted about his impact in WWE in just over a week, while he was out of the spotlight. Miz’s speech continued until Styles attacked him, which set up a match between them that will air on Thursday Night Smackdown.

Yesterday, it was rumored that the Miz vs. Styles feud could be extended through “Fastlane”. The belief is that Styles getting wins over quality opponents like Miz would be enough to get him over with the WWE audience to allow him to have a big match at Wrestlemania 32 in two months.

However, it was announced during last night’s Smackdown tapings that Styles defeated Miz in their match and the rematch for Jericho vs. Styles is set for next week’s edition of Smackdown.

The expectation is that their feud is the one that will last through “Fastlane” and give Styles the wins over Jericho that will put him over to emerge as a major player to the WWE audience that doesn’t know his history in the industry. He’s been getting a strong response from the WWE Universe, so this feud should do a lot for him.
