The rumor mill is running wild today with the grapevine bringing out many different options. Names such as Tyler Breeze, Sheamus, and Dean Ambrose have been heavily rumored. The biggest rumor coming out of today is the possibility of Daniel Bryan making his return to the ring tonight.
According to F4WOnline.com, another rumor of NXT star Samoa Joe will be the one to answer the challenge and win the United States Championship. Joe is currently in Sacramento, CA for NXT’s presence at the Aftershock Festival. It would be an easy trip to make for Joe to make it to LA for tonight’s PPV.
During the recent NXT tapings set to air through November, Samoa Joe turned heel against Finn Balor and NXT is most likely building their feud towards NXT Takeover: London.
His recent heel turn makes the possibility of Joe becoming US Champion very interesting because the turn isn’t set to air for a few more weeks. Joe is still a face on NXT. If he made his main roster debut tonight, his face reaction would still make sense and he’d have the ability to turn heel over the next several weeks to keep consistency between NXT and WWE telelvision.
The rumor mill is spinning today regarding John Cena’s Open Challenge on tonight’s “Hell in a Cell” PPV. We’re not likely to confirm anything or anyone until John Cena performs tonight, but we’ll have updates to this story as it develops.
