On Monday Night Raw this week, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows acknowledged their history with AJ Styles and eventually attacked Roman Reigns to “help him out” and to make a statement.
There is a lot of internal talks right now about the angle surrounding those three men, but the rumors are pointing towards the current NXT Champion Finn Balor.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, the backstage segment between Anderson, Gallows, and Styles was debated about by the powers that be backstage. Many felt it should have been nixed, but it was ultimately done to give casual fans some backstory to their relationship.
There is a lot of talk backstage that the angle involving Anderson and Gallows could lead to a heel turn for AJ Styles, but the fact is that Styles is moving a ton of merchandise already and may be better suited for a top face role.
However, WWE is looking for a heel dynamic with the group, and many are looking at Finn Balor to fill that role on the main roster. Many are expecting the angle to lead to Balor’s main roster debut as early as “Payback.”
There have been rumors of the “Balor Club” debuting in WWE for many months now, but there are a lot of people expecting WWE to pull the trigger on it sooner rather than later to set up Balor vs. Styles before Balor sets his sights on Roman Reigns and the WWE Championship.
It’s being said by a source that there is more talk about having the “Balor Club” feature more members than just Balor, Anderson, and Gallows.
The only issue is that Finn Balor would most likely have to finish up in NXT or pull intense double duty for both brands. It’s possible, but there are many eyes on Finn Balor right now.
Do you think it’s a good time to have Finn Balor debut on the main roster?
