Daniel Bryan retired in February and immediately distanced himself from wrestling and WWE for obvious reasons. The guy had his life blood taken from him far too early, so he couldn’t be around it some awhile.
However, the “Cruiserweight Classic” has gotten Daniel Bryan back into wrestling, which is always going to be a positive thing. There is now a rumor going around that he may be doing something bigger.
Last night on Raw, Vince McMahon made the decision that Shane McMahon will be running SmackDown Live and Stephanie McMahon will be in charge of Monday Night Raw after the brand split.
It was also revealed that both Shane and Stephanie are going to have to appoint new General Managers for their brand to run the show every week.
Stephanie’s is still a mystery, but WWE may have given way Shane’s choice for the role. According to a catch by WrestlingInc.com, the following was posted on the WWE app showing that his choice could be Daniel Bryan.
Daniel Bryan is an excellent choice for the GM role because it gets him back on WWE TV every week, and gives the WWE Universe back a superstar we thought was lost forever at one point.
Do you think Daniel Bryan is a good choice to be SmackDown’s GM?
