One of the biggest questions regarding Brock Lesnar’s WWE status is Paul Heyman’s future with the company. For the past six years, Heyman has more or less only stood by Lesnar’s side. His time alongside Cesaro and Curtis Axel were admirable experiments that just didn’t work out. However, that has left Paul Heyman as a “Brock Lesnar Guy.”
According to a report from Rajah, Paul Heyman’s absence from WWE programming is only in front of the camera. Apparently, Heyman has been present at Raw almost every week behind the scenes. Most people will be pleased to learn that he has been helping WWE creative with the angles for the show and working with talents on their promos.

It’s not clear who Heyman has been working with hands-on, but having someone like him available is invaluable. The interesting thing is Heyman can work with new talent that can be brought to Raw or SmackDown eventually. A lot of fans have wanted to see the next “Paul Heyman Guy,” or see him mentor someone in the women’s division. This could be how that happens if he’s hanging out backstage.
Brock Lesnar’s role with WWE remains unclear. However, WWE officials having Paul Heyman around allows them to give him a microphone every so often. For instance, it was a few weeks ago that Heyman cut a promo for Brock heading into Crown Jewel. The purpose of that was to push the Triple Threat Match without Brock Lesnar being there.
If nothing else, Heyman can provide another helpful and experienced hand helping the WWE roster improve their performances. Some people argue he should be running his own show, but it’s clear developing and working with talent is Heyman’s first passion.
