Corey Graves has become a very good heel announcer for NXT in a very short span of time. He got shafted by some concussion injuries despite being a damn good wrestlers and talker.
Thankfully, he was able to transition that skill into the announcer role because he could be described by many within the NXT Universe as “The Voice of NXT.”
Hes’ done such a good job in NXT that the WWE Universe is clamoring for him to be moved to SmackDown to team with Mauro Ranallo for the brand split.
It’s funny because as fate would have it, a position for a heel color-commentator just open up with the news that Jerry “The King” Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest this morning.
It almost seems to good to be true, but even if Lawler is found innocent, WWE is going to need to fill a stretch of time and Graves would be more than happy to fill that role since it’s technically a promotion.
There are going to be some shakeups now that “The King’s” chair is empty and Corey Graves seems the most logical and best choice to replace him. The only downside is losing his voice in NXT.
