The “Royal Rumble” is going to be here before you know it. WWE officials know that, which is why the rumor mill has been swirling with potential ideas about what they have planned for the biggest “Royal Rumble” PPV in WWE history.

There have been some plausible ideas thrown out already, but a few ideas out of left field have also been reported. One of the biggest ones was Stone Cold Steve Austin coming out of retirement to have one more match in the Alamodome this January.

Although there are several different opponents for Stone Cold to face, it has been over thirteen years since The Texas Rattlesnake wrestled a match. At this point, it’s extremely unlikely that Austin will ever wrestle a full match again.

Recently, Jim Ross said that exact same thing about Stone Cold getting back into the ring for a match inside a WWE ring at the “Royal Rumble,” Wrestlemania, or anywhere else.

However, JR did admit that there is something to the rumors about Austin returning to WWE television for a cameo appearance at the “Royal Rumble” in San Antonio and an appearance at Wrestlemania 33 is also likely.
