The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017 is already starting to look very rounded. Of course, it’s only October, so it’s too early to write it in stone. But, the class is looking very good thus far, and former female WWE performer may have already been chosen.

Just a few days ago, it was reported that Bill Goldberg could be leading the class of 2017, which shouldn’t surprise anyone considering his return to WWE. DDDP could also be getting the call, but WWE is looking at another name for the female induction.

According to a report from Four3Four.com, Mickie James may be next year’s female inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. That may surprise a lot of people considering she was just announced to face Asuka at NXT Takeover: Toronto next month.

It seems that WWE is welcoming James back in a big way by honoring her career in WWE and outside of it. She arguably had more success outside, but that hasn’t stopped them from giving others like Sting a WWE Hall of Fame induction in recent years.

In WWE, Mickie James is a former WWE Women’s Champion. She had great matches and feuds with both Lita and Trish Stratus. Few would argue against her getting the honor and becoming a WWE Hall of Famer now that she’s working with WWE again.
