Update on Nikki Bella’s Injury

Original: There is speculation going around that Nikki Bella is potentially injured. The former WWE Divas Champion posted the following on Twitter:

It’s been known for a long time that Nikki Bella was pretty banged up from her latest run as Divas Champion. Despite a lot of negativity, Nikki Bella held the Divas Championship for over 300 days. The all-time record was set despite suffering from a potentially torn hamstring earlier this year and shoulder problems in the past.

Nikki worked last week’s Raw and Smackdown tapings and even got a win over Team PCB in a six-woman tag team match. Brie Bella is representing Team Bella in the #1 Contender match tonight. However, Nikki just had a long year of work and injuries, so it’s entirely possible she’s taking a break to heal.

Suddenly, the Paige heel turn makes a lot more sense. The Charlotte and Nikki Bella feud was over as of last Sunday at “Hell in a Cell”. WWE apparently knew that Nikki Bella was going to need time off after putting over Charlotte. Paige’s month of tearing down everyone on the microphone was just a way to stall time to build Charlotte vs. Paige.

There is nothing left for Nikki Bella to prove and a vacation is not only warranted; it’ll give the WWE Universe a break. When she returns, she’ll be able to break new ground.
