For the first time in over twelve years, Bill Goldberg will be making an appearance on WWE programming when he returns to Raw in a few days. Expectations are extremely high for his return, but WWE needs to break the ice for him to get started on WWE TV.
A match between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar is imminent at this point with the rumors claiming it’ll take place at “Survivor Series” next month. Although he is going to receive a hero’s return along with “Goldberg” chants, WWE may have other plans for him.
According to an article from Forbes.com, WWE should consider turning Goldberg heel for the feud with Brock Lesnar. The biggest reason is the aura of his return will fade away, and his history in Canada has been overwhelmingly negative.
However, a heel turn doesn’t make a lot of sense considering that takes all the fun out of his return because the WWE Universe has been waiting chant “Goldberg” again, so why would you take that away from them?
Goldberg vs. Lesnar is going to be a very interesting match, especially because he’ll likely get the best of the build to their match. A heel Goldberg doesn’t make sense when no one has been able to challenge Lesnar in four years inside a WWE ring.
Do you think Goldberg turning heel is a good idea?
