Daniel Bryan’s in-ring return elated the WWE Universe, but some fans are disappointed with his booking. There’s a good chance he’ll qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match tonight on SmackDown Live. Fans love getting to see Bryan wrestle AJ Styles and Samoa Joe inside a WWE ring. However, some people believe he should be doing more.
According to RingSideNews, the former WWE Champion still has not signed a new deal with the company. As a result, WWE officials are keeping his plans tentative until that changes. Despite overwhelming popularity, Bryan will remain stuck in WWE’s midcard.

The two sides still have three months to negotiate and sign a new contract. However, a lot of fans are upset that WWE officials are wasting the momentum from his return. It was a return three years in the making, but Daniel Bryan’s health is still a huge concern.
On paper, the WWE Universe wants Bryan to be the WWE Champion. However, he has not proven he can stay health and any title reign for him must last longer than three months. It’s understandable why the powers that be would be skeptical to put a title on him or give him a lengthy feud. It’s still possible that he could leave WWE in September.

If Daniel Bryan re-signs with the company soon, that would be a good show of faith. The next step would likely be to give him a real feud or a run at the US Title by Summerslam at the earliest. By the end of 2018, Bryan could be challenging for the WWE Title again.
