Video: Top Five In Arena NXT Debuts

Well hello there. While there are a lot of nice things about NXT, one of the best things is the talent that is coming through that curtain. It’s a lot of fun to guess who might be the newest big name signee, but it’s even more fun to actually see them in person making the big surprise debut. Sometimes we know in advance, but sometimes they come from out of nowhere for the shock of the night. That sounds like it’s time for a flashback.

Most memorable in-arena debuts: NXT Top 5, May 27, 2018

WWE has released a new Top Five video, looking at the five greatest in-arena debuts for NXT names. As you might guess, these are big names in NXT, whose debuts are treated like major deals. Since NXT isn’t really that old, most of these are from the last few years. Several of these names were already big stars when they debuted, which made their appearances that much more important as they already had reputations.

Opinion: The top spot on the list makes sense and I’m glad that it seems to be people actually in the ring instead of just showing up. Otherwise I would have wanted Drew McIntyre to make the list as his debut was a major surprise for me. This is one of the areas where NXT shines and it’s cool to see them get the recognition that they deserve. They know what they’re doing and it’s a lot of fun when something like this happens.
