After the news broke on Tuesday that Big Cass had been released by the company, most people were surprised and wanted to know the reason why WWE officials fired him. It’s been a tough week for him because new reports continue to be reported revealing more and more details about how unprofessional and problematic he was behind the scenes.
According to a report from DirtySheets, WWE officials wanted to see Daniel Bryan beat Big Cass at Money in the Bank to end their feud and move him onto new things for the next three months that he’s actually under contract. Apparently, Big Cass did not react positively to the booking and actually had an argument with WWE creative on Sunday.
Backstage Update: More Details Emerge On Big Cass Release
Cass also left the building immediately after his match with Bryan, which WWE officials do not appreciate. He was in a foul mood the next day at the arena the next day and did not like the idea of being the first one eliminated in the Gauntlet Match on SmackDown.
At some point during the say, Big Cass saw Carmella, the two have recently separated, in catering alongside 205 announcer Vic Joseph. Apparently, the two hang out regularly at TV, but Cass believed there was something going on between them and confronted him about it. Joesph claims Cass threatened to take his head off and to stay away from him.
WWE officials had big plans for Big Cass before his release from the company:
He was already on thin ice with WWE officials due to his attitude and constant issues on television and backstage. It’s possible the confrontation with Carmella, who has become a major player in the company, was enough for the powers that be to pull the trigger on his dismissal. Unfortunately, his wrestling career will need to continue elsewhere.
Do you believe Big Cass should have been fired for his behavior?
