Just to recap, Roman Reigns laid down a major beat down on Triple H after being screwed out of the WWE Championship again at “TLC”. A beat down that The Game still hasn’t returned from on WWE television and his brief appearance at NXT Takeover: London is the last time we saw him on any WWE programming.
Shortly afterward, Roman Reigns cut a promo on a Smackdown and said that Triple H was nowhere to be found, and that has received a mixed reaction from many involved in NXT because it neglects to mention his appearance for NXT and in many ways, ignores the NXT brand.
The main issue is that this kind of attention to detail is either being ignored, or WWE doesn’t think WWE fans need to pay attention to NXT in order to watch WWE, which makes NXT seem less important to the company despite a magnificent year in WWE.
There is a point to be made there, but Triple H’s appearance was simply to put over the NXT brand and bring importance to NXT having a Takeover special in London. His appearance was for NXT, not the main roster. Especially, when The Game acknowledged the angle during his speech to open the show.
