Backstage News on Mick Foley's "Santa Claus" Appearance on Raw

Say what you will about Mick Foley, but the man loves being Santa Claus. What’s especially interesting about his recent appearance on Monday Night Raw is Foley recently said what he wanted about WWE’s current product, and that resulted in an unfortunate amount of negativity.

However, the former WWE Champion posted the following on his Facebook page about how the appearance for the Christmas episode of Monday Night Raw came to be.

“YOU’D BETTER NOT POUT!

OK, here’s the scoop on the shrewd negotiations that went into my top secret appearance on ?#?RAW? last night.

1) Mick sends text to high-level WWE official, reading: “Would you guys like me to do a video as Santa for Raw?”

2) Within minutes, the high level officalresponds: “We would love to have you do a video as Santa. Can you be in the studio at 1:00 on Monday?

3) Mick responds: “Sure. Can my kids be in it?”

4) WWE responds: “Of course!”

And that was pretty much it. Thanks for all the nice messages. It was a fun way to spend the day my family, and we enjoyed watching our segment on Raw.
